Found in a rundown Boston estate: Barack Obama’s aunt Zeituni Onyango

It's disturbing enough that Barack Obama promises to spread the wealth. It looks like he's chosen to neglect his Aunt Zeituni Onyango who was found in the slums of Boston in a home for the disabled.

So is this headline news? It should be, but it's not. Does anybody care? Depending on how important family is in one's life, probably not. It's not so much that I'm ragging on the candidate. We just don't know much about the man. And the polls show that no one really cares much either. I don't know why not. I take that back.......What if this were John McCain?

How Barack Obama tells of his first meeting with his Aunt Zeituni in Kenya:

‘‘Barack!” I turned to see Auma [his Kenyan cousin] jumping up and down behind another guard who wasn’t letting her pass into the luggage area. I excused myself and rushed over to her, as we laughed and hugged as silly as the first time we’d met. A tall, brown-skinned woman was smiling beside us, and Auma turned and said: “Barack, this is our Auntie Zeituni. Our father’s sister.”

“Welcome home,” Zeituni said kissing me on both cheeks . . .

We went to drop Zeituni off at Kenya Breweries, a large, drab complex where she worked as a computer programmer. Stepping out of the car, she leaned over again to kiss me on the cheek, then wagged her finger at Auma. “You take good care of Barry now,” she said. “Make sure he doesn’t get lost again.”

Once we were back on the highway, I asked Auma what Zeituni had meant about my getting lost. Auma shrugged.

“It’s a common expression,” she said. “Usually it means that the person hasn’t seen you in a while. ‘You’ve been lost,’ they’ll say. Or, ‘Don’t get lost’. Sometimes it has a more serious meaning. Let’s say a husband or son moves to the city, or to the West, like our Uncle Omar in Boston. They promise to return after completing school. They say they’ll send for the family once they get settled. At first they write once a week. Then it’s just once a month. Then they stop writing completely. No one sees them again. They’ve been lost, you see. Even if people know where they are.”

When one chooses to neglect family especially in times of trouble, I have to wonder what or if at all, would he do for me?
Barack Obama's half brother George who lives in squallor in Nairobi, is another example of family he chooses to ignore.

Looks like Barry is lost.....

The L.A. Times Suppresses Obama’s Khalidi Bash Tape

Here's just another name to add to these shady character terrorists domestic or otherwise, hate-filled anti-Americans...to Barack Obama's sh!t list.

By Andrew McCarthy of NRO:

Let’s try a thought experiment. Say John McCain attended a party at which known racists and terror mongers were in attendance. Say testimonials were given, including a glowing one by McCain for the benefit of the guest of honor ... who happened to be a top apologist for terrorists. Say McCain not only gave a speech but stood by, in tacit approval and solidarity, while other racists and terror mongers gave speeches that reeked of hatred for an American ally and rationalizations of terror attacks.
John McCain slams the L.A. Times:

John McCain slammed The Los Angeles Times Wednesday for refusing to release a videotape that the newspaper's editors say shows Barack Obama praising a Chicago professor who served as a spokesman for the Palestine Liberation Organization when it was a U.S.-designated terror group.
Dirty Harry has an offer you may not want to refuse.

To honor is to sacrifice, of yourself or of your own, for something you view to be greater or more important. Honor is the quality of a man who does that.
The politics don't matter here. You can decide for yourself whether or not this has any relevance to the issues of today. What does matter is what you can see in this four-minute window.

Bill Ayers was "just some guy in the neighborhood." The Blurb That Never Was

I don't get it. How is at all possible to continue to trust a man who lies right in our faces. And smiles while he does it. Does no one question Barack Obama's character and his connection to American terrorist William Ayers or anti-American Jeremiah Wright? And why doesn't his character and associations matter to the American people? How do you in good conscience continue to believe that this liar would be fit to be President of the United States?
The goddamn MSM makes me nauseous as well being too damn slanted to the left in their reporting. Burying things that should be headline news about the candidates we're voting for to be the leader of our country. Instead they kiss The One's hand, bowing down to his every word, ignoring Joe Biden's constant assinine remarks. While they trash John McCain and Sarah Palin.
You won't ever see any reporting like this on your local yokel news stations. And that is just too disturbing and way too unfair to the American people.
Via HotAir

It’s not the crime, it’s the cover-up. In the midst of Barack Obama’s continuing insistence that William Ayers was just some guy in the neighborhood (and just some guy on two non-profit boards with whom Obama worked for almost a decade), people asked why Obama then gave Ayers a promotional blurb for his book, A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court. Team Obama spokesmen Bill Burton and Robert Gibbs categorically denied it.
Oops:

Seriously, how is it that the media will bombard Joe the plumber, just a regular American, by parking their trucks and satellites outside his home, yet they ignore someone like domestic terrorist William Ayers?
What are you gonna do? The lamestream media is just stoopid, is all.

It Goes Beyond Politics

I don't have a Downs child. But I do know what it feels like to be the parent of a disabled child. As that parent I had the guilt of "what did I do wrong to cause this?" When I realized it wasn't my fault, then I was faced with the other question. "What will my baby be capable of doing?" With each of her impairments, I cautiously crossed that road ready to dive into it head first but not realizing what a fight it would be with beauracracy for her rights as a human being with disabilities.
Being a parent of a special needs child is just that...special. We live in a world that no one can ever imagine.
Sarah Palin's story is definitely my our story.

Common sense

Barone: Media Should Pursue Obama-Ayers Connection

Michael Barone tells Greta Susteren why it's important that we understand Barack Obama's connection with William Ayers.

watch video

Via Ed Morrissey at HotAir
Barone’s three reasons:

Obama stresses his commonality with the American people. Do most people feel comfortable working closely with unrepentant domestic terrorists who still want to overthrow the capitalist system in America?

Obama presses educational issues as part of his campaign. He spent years working with Ayers on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which pushed efforts to create primary educational organizations that would create political activists for the Left - and which largely failed in any of its intended purposes.

Obama has lied and obfuscated about his relationship with Ayers. Clearly, Ayers was not just “some guy in the neighborhood”, but a political adviser at least on educational issues who provided a key launch for Obama’s political career.

Ready..set..Ichi..Ni

K, that was the most BORING debate. And I do believe that McCain did a sorry job. If I didn't know any better, I would think that Barry'O got the better half of the debate, speaking clearly about his rambling bullshit and lies. And if McCain says "my friends" one more time, I'm going to have to strangle someone...probably dh.

Yeah sure, McCain should have said this and he should have said that, but he didn't. Why didn't he address Obama's connection with ACORN, since they were on the subject of our financial crisis? Or the fact that he was the one and only Senator who voted against the Born Alive Infant Act. What is so wrong with asking the question about the content of Barack Obama's character associating with the likes of William Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Jeremiah Wright or Tony Rezko.
I really hate that the mainstream media will continually bow down to Barack Obama, praising his issues of relying on government control over the people. Literally screwing small business owners. How absolutely ignorant is that. IMO, I think the media does have an influence on those on the fence with their ass backward slanted reporting done so unfairly. Forget Hollywood and the fact that they have Obama on a very high pedestal because of their ignorance of having no clue as to why they feel the way they do. Except that Barack Obama is charismatic and handsome. What imbeciles.

John McCain really needs to kick ass if he's going to win this. He needs to stop being the nice guy and understand that the moral values of conservatism is losing ground in our country and we need to fight to get it back. We hunger for leadership...and I just don't know anymore if John McCain can pull this off.

Seriously, God help us all if Hussein gets the job.

I don't like the way this is going...

Rock This Town

John McCain's pick of Sarah Palin as his running mate was indeed a shock to the media. And you can bet the media loves to be shocked.

It's refreshing to see that true conservatism will be back in the race. Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin will bring a much needed change to the McCain ticket.

Here's something that'll make ya smile.

Official statement from McCain:

U.S. Senator John McCain today announced that he has selected Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate and to serve as his vice president.

Governor Palin is a tough executive who has demonstrated during her time in office that she is ready to be president. She has brought Republicans and Democrats together within her Administration and has a record of delivering on the change and reform that we need in Washington.

Governor Palin has challenged the influence of the big oil companies while fighting for the development of new energy resources. She leads a state that matters to every one of us -- Alaska has significant energy resources and she has been a leader in the fight to make America energy independent.

In Alaska, Governor Palin challenged a corrupt system and passed a landmark ethics reform bill. She has actually used her veto and cut budgetary spending. She put a stop to the "bridge to nowhere" that would have cost taxpayers $400 million dollars.

As the head of Alaska's National Guard and as the mother of a soldier herself, Governor Palin understands what it takes to lead our nation and she understands the importance of supporting our troops.
Governor Palin has the record of reform and bipartisanship that others can only speak of. Her experience in shaking up the status quo is exactly what is needed in Washington today.

I borrowed a few pics taken by Heather, Meghan McCain's photographer I hope she won't mind, as her dad John McCain announces Sarah Palin in Dayton, Ohio:

Check-mate

Obama who? Last night's spectacular Democratic convention and Obama's speech, seemed so long ago now. What a difference a day makes.
Wow. So it's been confirmed. The choice for John McCain's running mate will be Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska. This is getting exciting.....finally.

No doubt, we're going to hear alot more of Sarah Palin in the coming weeks. Pros and cons. But what a bombshell this is. I li-i-ike it!
For starters and on a personal level, she has five children, the oldest who enlisted into the army, will be deployed to Iraq next month. The youngest, who was born in April with downs syndrome. Whether a woman is pro choice or pro life, one has to be impressed by the choice Sarah Palin made to keep her child with downs syndrome. She refused to terminate her baby, knowing the possibilities. That alone spoke to me. That is the same choice I made with my daughter. Because of that, I understand. Because of that we have something in common. After listening to her acceptance speech, the Pubs are sure to give the Dems a run for their money.

Although talk will be that she has little experience being in office for only a year and a half, her approval rate in Alaska is 80%.
Sarah Palin is the first female governor of Alaska, a hunter, a fisher, a basketball player, hockey mom, pro-life.

Let the games begin. It's going to be one helluva run.

It's Awesome. It's Just Awesome Looking at it From Here.

So which do you like?

The coronation of the Democratic National Convention? It really is a spiffy get-up if I do say so myself. Full of pastels to show a rather modern day looking American flag. 8,000 square feet of video screens and high-definition plasma tv screens. Very, very Hollywood. Sorta, kinda fitting for the celebrity status of Barry O. They will even change background lighting while someone talks. Kinda, sorta adapting to the way of B.O. Way cool. It actually looks awesome from afar.

Or....

The GOP Convention. Simple, distinguished, majestic. It does have state-of-the-art equipment too but it does lack the frazzle-dazzle of Hollyweird's DNC. Ace said it best. "I give the Republicans' state 3 WWII-Era Captain America Shields out of four, and the Democrats' three and a half Zorro-snaps with a Tim Gunn "Make it work" kicker."
