During last night’s NBC prime time coverage of the Olympics, Tom Brokaw did a report on American snowboarder Kevin Pearce.
While he was training, Kevin had a horrible accident at the end of December 2009, leaving him with a severe, traumatic brain injury.
Brokaw talks to Kevin’s parents and his brothers. They speak about the accident and the way their family has responded. Although Kevin’s future is uncertain, they are heartened by his remarkable progress and are hopeful. His mother said that she has experienced miracles that have been both moving and humbling.
