Pelosi: Not Enough Votes to Pass Senate Health Bill in House

HOO-YAH!!!! What a difference a day makes. Freddie's Dead, sweetie. The Senate Health Bill is dead, dead, dead! Tax increases, Medicaid, individual mandates..........dead.

"I don't see the votes for it at this time," Pelosi said. "The members have been very clear in our caucus about the fact that they didn't like it before it had the Nebraska provision and some of the other provisions that are unpalatable to them."

"In every meeting that we have had, there would be nothing to give me any thought that that bill could pass right now the way that it is," she said. "There isn't a market right now for proceeding with the full bill unless some big changes are made."
It feels good being able to exhale for just a bit right now.
It's already a struggle having to deal with our health insurance, fighting for the rights of my special needs child. To have to deal with politicians rather than doctors to get the attention she would require under the Obamacare would have been devastating. The government has no business making the decisions of my daughter's fragile health. It They would have surely killed her. I've been fighting with insurance companies for 21 years, being the voice for my daughter. No doubt we do need reform. But not the plan that the Democrats want.

~What a difference a day makes, indeed~
