Illbred Narcissist

California Senator Barbara Boxer isn't holding any town halls, though she is doing a series of appearances promoting her new book - a work of fiction about a diminutive female Senator who runs up against a "power hungry, civil rights trampling Vice President" and a "right-wing radio host without principles." Nevertheless, there were a couple of tense moments at her most recent book signing in the super friendly confines of Marin County.

"She should be doing town hall meetings with her constituents instead of book tours," said Pam Silleman who was waving at cars and carrying a sign that read "Born Free but Taxed to Death."
...Boxer spent a moment acknowledging the naysayers outside the store but insisted she was here to talk about Blind Trust.

....The only prickly moment occurred when the Senator pointedly requested that one audience member not point at her while she asked her question.

...."I am not afraid of them," said the Senator, "It's good that I wrote the book--because I'm ready for hard times--and Ellen could handle it!...There is one reason I'm here--the fight for the families and people of California!"
Via Mofo:

Barbara Boxer will not meet with her voters but she wil go to book signings to line her pocket — so we brought the town hall meeting to her!

And she was so scared of meeting voters that she literally snuck in the back door, had curtains hung so no one could see in the store windows and snuck out the back door to her white Toyota – won’t even drive an American car.
