Although, this has to be one of the most tormenting adversities that any child or adult would be faced with the affliction of gender confusion. Everytime I read of a child that questions his or her gender, it leaves me completely baffled. How is that possible? Course most everyone today will accept the fact that a person can be born gay. I still don't buy that. But then, I'm not sure of that either. I take into consideration God first and foremost. I don't know that God would create a perfect human being with such a deep rooted psychological dysfunction as that. I do understand that there are actual physical malfunctions that develop in the womb, such as genital defects. But what do I know.
In the past, having more x-chromosomes or y-chromosomes in our makeup may give the tendency to be more faminine or more masculine. In my day that was called a sissy or a tomboy. I would be the latter. But that doesn't make me gay.
If a child were born with no physical anomalies, how would they come to the conclusion that they were born gay? Being that our society today has accepted homosexuality with open arms, sometimes even encouraged...could that play a major role in the influence of our children? Even at the age of 4? Although, homosexuality has been around since the beginning of time, hasn't it.
I have a question: Can a child or adult who is mentally challenged, can he or she be gay? Sex is a natural drive. Could a retarded child be sexually attracted to their same sex, thereby initiating a relationship?
An Omaha couple is allowing their 8-year-old son to openly live life as a girl. It’s a decision that means the child is no longer able to attend Catholic school.
Therapists and the child’s parents say the second grade student is transgender, a medical condition where a person’s inner sense of identity doesn’t match their biological gender. Some gender experts say as many as one in 500 people may be transgender or carry significant traits of the opposite sex.
"It’s kind of like you’re trapped somewhere and you can’t get out," said the boy, whose name and face are not being made public to protect the family from potential harm.
"She’s been a girl since the beginning, everything about her, the way she dances and skips around and the things she’s attracted to. It’s more than toys and clothes," said the child’s mother.

Punky, your best posts are those where you talk, where you clearly give your own personal views. This post is really interesting, I find it hard to know what to make of the video which I think was your reaction too. But it feels (to me at least) like the post is missing one thing, your final comments at the end as to what you conclude, what you make of it.
BTW I may be back later to steal the video for Free Falling, if you don't mind. But first, I will have to figure out what I make of it all.
;-)
Thank you M. Please fill free to use the vid. It is an interesting topic.
