Are You Stupid Or Something?

Well hell. Not only do we not have an income at the moment. Now we have to think about getting rid of the Black Solara for a brand new Ca-Ca Brown color.

In a move that will likely get California's consumers in a huff, impending legislation may soon restrict the paint color options for Golden State residents looking for their next new vehicle. The specific colors that are currently on the chopping block are all dark hues, with the worst offender seemingly the most innocuous color you could think of: Black. What could California possibly have against these colors, you ask? Apparently, the California Air Resources Board figures that the climate control systems of dark colored cars need to work harder than their lighter siblings – especially after sitting in the sun for a few hours. Anyone living in a hot, sunny climate will tell you that this assumption is accurate, of course. In fact, legislation already exists for buildings that has proven successful at reducing the energy consumption of skyscrapers.

Soon it'll be against the law to smoke in our own homes. Oh. Wait. That's already been done too in Belmont, CA.

Damn...

Wow, that smoking video is pretty wild. And I thought Nova Scotia was bad!

Seriously, it makes no sense to me if it's legal (which it is). So she is suppose to smoke outside and make everyone else breathe it? In the town down the road here you can't smoke in your car if there are kids in the car. And courts in some cases seem to be starting to equate parental smoking with child abuse.

Start with apartments and condos ... then you might as well make it illegal to smoke in your own house if there are children present. Then say the smell lingers (which is it does), so make it illegal to smoke inside at all if kids live there, whether or not they're home.

I'm not a smoker, I don't want it around my kids and the smell really bothers me (a lot more now than it use to because I smell it so much less than I use to) ... but this is nuts!
