Gianna Jessen on Laura Ingraham Show

To listen to Gianna Jessen is like a breath of fresh air. She has an awesome love for life and a contagious giggle that's sure to put a smile on your face.

Laura Ingraham interviewed Gianna Jessen on her radio program Wednesday, Sept. 17th. The story of her life is horribly tragic. However, you'll never convince Gianna of that. She's been blessed. And I can see why.

Gianna met her biological mother two years ago and her mother said, "Hi, I'm your mother and basically deal with it." Gianna's reaction was, "I'm a Christian and I forgive you for what you've done. I know there are women out there that are in excruciating pain listening to this story because of their own abortions. One thing I want to get out to people is, look I'm not on a big crusade of condemnation. I'm about compassion and just giving some relief to those women."

She lived with her mother for a brief time as an infant. She was removed from that enviornment out of necessity. At 17 months old, she was placed into an emergency foster care. They didn't like her so they would stick her in a room and shut the door for long periods of time. That can be so damaging to a baby.

She was then placed in another home by a wonderful woman named Penny. Penny saved her life by loving her. Penny's daughter adopted Gianna at 3-1/2 years old.

Tragedy falls on us all at one time or another and to whatever degree. I believe that you can turn your adversities into something positive, or you can choose to be a victim. Gianna made her choice and ran with a mission to raise her voice to those children who weren't as fortunate as she. It's a gift from God to see the rewards given to you from a life of such hardship. To be able to turn that tragedy into a gift takes courage.
