British scientists allowed to create human-animal embryo

The world as it is today, never ceases to amaze me. We've come a long way, baby. We've come so far....it's actually possible to create a monster. Although, thats not the British scientist's intentions you see. It's not what you think. No, their goal in the research of uniting human male sperm with an animal embryo..... known as "human admixed embryos" is to find the cure of diseases such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's. Even though there hasn't been any kind of breakthrough with human embryonic stem cells....nil, nada, zilch, zippo....maybe taking a stab at half human-half animal might be the trick. Insanity.

British scientists will be allowed to research devastating diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s using human-animal embryos, after the House of Commons rejected a ban yesterday.

...A second amendment, which would have banned the creation of “true hybrids” made by fertilising an animal egg with human sperm, or vice-versa, was also defeated yesterday by a majority of 63.
It's really ashame the media won't report the good news on Adult Stem Cell research. Adult stem cells (found in umbilical cords, bone marrow, skin cells)...which btw, have cured certain types of cancers, spinal cord injuries. Adult stem cells that have been proven to give tangible hope through researching, rather than Embryonic stem cells which have done nothing.
It's almost baffling why they refuse to pick up on this.
Absurd...
