Tombstone

So I'm a few years behind in movies. Well okay, more than a decade behind. But better late than never, eh?

I finally watched Tombstone the other night, at the behest of my daughter's boyfriend. He said I would love it. Granted, its a shoot-um-up-bang, bang kind of movie, but it was oh-so good! He was right I loved it. Its one of those movies where it stays with you after you walk out of the theatre. It had that kind of effect on me anyway.

Okay, so it was just a movie. And I don't know or have ever read the true history of Wyatt Earp, his brothers or Doc Holliday, maybe I'm wrong about them. But the movie made them out to look pretty darn awesome and true or not, I just have to wonder.....do these kind of men of courage who are unafraid to die, still exist in this world we live in today? Okay...aside from our military. Our soldiers are indeed extraordinary.

Yes, it took place in the 1880's in a time of lawlessness and chaos. And if you didn't stand up for yourself, you were sure to be shot. Yeah, it was a holy mess back then. And I'm glad I didn't live in that era.

But...back to Wyatt Earp and those men. Gotta say....now....those were real men!

Thanks Casdok. I'm really not one for Western movies, but I have to say, this was good! There was a bit of a love story behind it too, so that made it a little more interesting. :)
