Gratitude Journal

In times of trouble, perhaps that should be the most important time to be grateful. It helps to keep your feet firmly on the ground. It helps to grow.
A very good friend of mine reminded me of the reasons I need to find some peace.

I'm grateful for:

~ My husband. As many times as I'd love to strangle him, he's a good, kind and gentle man with a heart of gold. We have that Yin and Yang/introvert, extrovert kind of thing going. And its all good.

~ My munchkin, who gives me so much joy. A blessing like no other. She has inherited her father's traits and thats a good thing. She's a kind and gentle soul. Her sister has also taught her well.

~ My other munchkin who with all her disabilities, I am grateful for good days of strong health. And although she is unable to tell me whats on her mind, I have learned to read her eyes. Its in her eyes that tells me her stories of a love that is so pure. And I am so grateful to know these things.

~ My family whom without them I wouldn't have half the strength I have today. Family is so important especially in times of trials. I'm grateful that we will come together like glue when that happens.

~ I have friendships that I have kept since I was just a kid. Its a very special relationship to have girlfriends you've grown up with. There is so much history there. To share that experience from where we came, to where we are today.

~ Because of my "special" daughter, I've come to know some extraordinary women. These very special women I met through the internet of all places. And what a blast it was that we actually met...women from around the world. How cool is that? And its a bond that can't be broken. It'll be 11 years in 2008.
HAPPY NEW YEAR....!

I like the New Year's look. And the gratitude entry. I think you've nailed it ... we all need to hang on tight to our family and friends cuz often at the end of the day (or end of the year), they're really all we have. So here's a toast to the internets, of all things, for helping us find new friends.

And here's a toast to you, my friend. And to your family. May you love, laugh and even cry, when needed, for a very long time. Cheers!
