Food Fight!

I really need to get my mind off some major issues going on in my life. So what better way then to discuss the news.
This is a bit of old news....but I thought the dirty politics of the recent goings on between the '08 candidates was rather amusing and something that either made me want to throw my tv set out the window....or had me laughing in a kind of snarky way.

Did you find it as entertaining as I did to see Hillary Clinton's campaign co-chair, Bill Shaheen resign because of his comment of Barack Obama's drug use? From what I understand, the Clintons were quite the 'buds' with the Shaheen's. Don't cross the Clintons! Or what about Mike Huckabee's comment supposedly confused about the teachings of the Mormon faith, actually wondering if Satan and Jesus were brothers. Or Huckabee's recent comment that the Bush administration's foreign policy was characterized by an "arrogant bunker mentality." Ms. Condoleezza Rice didn't like that one bit, no she didn't. Can't say that I blame her.
Actually, a good clean food fight might have been more riveting.

Do you think that celebrities have an influence on the way we favor our candidate? As in Oprah Winfrey endorsing Barack Obama. Or Chuck Norris for Mike Huckabee. Ted Nugent endorsed Fred Thompson. I wonder. I guess anyone is better than Babs Streisand who endorses HRC.

So the race is on and its neck and neck with Hil the Shrill and B. Hussein Obama. Huckabee and Romney, where's Giuliani? Oh...he has the flu. But not to fret, he's doing fine.

Its a sure sign that I need to get a life when I find myself actually sitting through these campaign commericals. Its amazing how Hillary is loved (duped) by so many, as her commercial has her sitting in a decorated living room wrapping holiday gifts as she labels each with tags reading "universal healthcare", "alternative energy",etc. Do they not realize that these issues will be funded by you, the American people? I think HotAir's take on HRC's ad is a tad more fun to watch. We can't forget Hil's infamous 'kakkling'. Kinda reminds me of clawing your fingernails down a chalkboard.
Ahhh but the most emotional ad that none of these candidates can or will top, is John McCain's Christmas campaign ad. And he has every right to it.

Ah but alas....on an even more absurd note...and why is this news anyway. Some say that....(oh whats-er-name....I have it on the tip of my tongue).....Brittany Spear's little sister, 16 year old Jamie Lynn Spears, although she's but a child herself during this time of being "with-child", some say at least she's not aborting her baby but is taking the responsiblity to take care of and raise her baby. Although lets not forget her long time boyfriend who happens to be 19 years old and being looked into for statutory rape. Unfair? Perhaps. Others say their mother has been irresponsible and neglecting in raising her daugthers looking at the obvious results of those girls today. Where is their father? Talk now, is that the mom is looking to collect some cash for the story on Jamie Lynn. Perhaps Brittany too. Whadda mess. Oh, and Nickelodeon may also consider following Jamie's pregnancy. It's a mad, MAD world I tell ya. Can anyone say..."exploitation?" What does this say to the little girls who are 13-14 years old who see these celebrity children getting positive feedback and making $millions off of (let's face it) a lifestyle that is just wrong.

Ahhh yes........but we mustn't forget...'tis the season to be jolly............

Very nice post. Good reading.
Now I was wondering if you could/would do a similar piece on the Republican candidates?

Thanks M :)
I thought I did (kind of) touch on the Pubs too....no?
I guess I could question Huckabee a little more about his motives. Some people tell me they don't trust Romney for some unkonwn reason. So I suppose I should check that out for myself too. Hmm.....
Are we having fun yet??....N O T

Oops, know what, I don't know who all the candidates are so I may not know who goes with who ... Although I think I'm safe in saying that you seemed to have more fun with the Dems. ;-)
