To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong.
To love pure and chaste from afar.
To try when your arms are too weary.
To reach the unreachable star.
This is my quest.
To follow that star.
No matter how hopeless.
No matter how far.
To fight for the right, without question or pause.
To be willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause.
And I know, if I'll only be true to this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I'm laid to my rest.
And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable stars.

Congratulations on your blog. May it provide you with many happy moments of sharing what you have uppermost in your mind!
The Impossible Dream. Don Quixote did dream and tried to live his Impossible Dream.
His tendency to transform ordinary people and objects into more fantastic versions of themselves forces those around him to choose between adapting to his imaginary world or opposing it. Impossible to coax Don Quixote into a more conventional view of the world and away from an unconventional life as a knight-errant. To get Quixote to communicate however, you must play along with his world, pretending to believe in his wild fantasies.
Here's to a harmonious relationship with Don Quixote's fantasy world, to recognizing its value even if we do not believe it to be literally true.
Anonymous is me, Eileen, in Argentina - so I guess I'm not anonymous, right? I'll try to remember to sign my comments.
And again ... congratulations!
Thank you Eileen for stopping by!!! You won't have to go along with my world! How boring would that be? :)
My brain has taken vacation without me...where'd this poem come from? I love it.

Thank you Eileen from down south in Wonderful Argentina!
Well....I'm not sure if my adventures will be very noble... But it should be fun! LOL
Hey, what's going on here?
A party without me??
So listen, anonymous Eileen, I was wondering...are you comparing punky d here to Don Quixote?
for mmc
Nobody can compare with Don Quixote! But yes, some things do resemble punky. In a fantastic, magical world punky would be a very live character, why not in shining armour?.Fighting windmills in defense of honour and righteousness. Why, if not, would The Impossible Dream be here at all? Don't we all want to reach out for the impossible? If nobody did the world would be a dreary place.Beside we all dream of making the impossible possible.
Eileen
